Tutor & Future Nurse

AJ (short for Ariel, like the adventurous mermaid!) is a dedicated nursing student with a vibrant background in health sciences, music, and technology. With a strong passion for helping others and making the world a better place, AJ is on a mission to inspire and educate learners of all ages, cultures, and abilities.

AJ’s journey began with a degree in Food Science and Pharmaceutical Studies at Durham College, followed by three years of Biomedical Science at Trent University. Realizing that his true calling lay beyond the lab, AJ switched gears to pursue an accelerated nursing program at Durham College, aiming to specialize in mental health as a Nurse Practitioner.

Outside the classroom, AJ is an avid gamer (ask him about his League of Legends strategies!), a fitness enthusiast who can bench over 225 lbs, and a former punk rock band member with a love for music and teaching. From 2016 to 2018, AJ shared hisr musical talents by teaching clarinet to students, sparking a lifelong passion for education. AJ also dabbles in programming and once created his own version of Pac-Man using Python!

Fun, approachable, and deeply committed to making a difference, AJ is not just a teacher but a mentor and motivator, ready to help students achieve their potential in school, life, and beyond.
